Dr. Moni'm H'addad

Nació en Galilea, al norte de Israel, país llamado Palestinaantes del establecimientod e Israel en 1948. Según su nacionalidad es un árabe palestino, ciudadano de Israel y cristiano.

Was born in Galilee, the northern part of Israel, which was called Palestine, before the establishment of Israel in 1948. According to his nationality he is Palestinian Arab, Israeli citizen and Christian by religion.


Estudió en la Universidad de Haifa y en la Universidad Hebrea de jerusalén; sus áreas son lenguas y literaturas árabe y hebrea, folclore, patrimonio y cultura.

He studied at the University of Haifa and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the fields of his study are: Arabic and Hebrew language and literature, folklore, heritage and culture.

Se lo considera el más antiguo investigador sobre el folklore árabe, de cuyos estudios es pionero, así como de los estudios patrimoniales y culturales comparados en Israel.

He is considered to be the first, the pioneer and senior researcher in Arabic folklore, heritage and culture and "comparative folklore and heritage research" inside Israel.

Educator, writer, creator and academic teacher who taught in Haifa University (for many years) and at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (for short time) and in several colleges, teachers' training institutes and high schools.

Ha participado en más de cuarenta y cinco conferencias internationales sobre folclorística y estudios culturales en diversos países.Miembro de diversas organizaciones internacionales, asociaciones y sociedades, como: ISFNR, SEIF, Folklore Fellows, Sociedad Etnográfica húngara, Indian Folklorists, y la Unión de Folclorólogos Palestinos.

He has participated in more than forty five international folklore and cultural conferences in many countries. A member of many international organizations, associations and societies like: ISFNR, SEIF, The Folklore Fellows, The Hungarian Ethnographic Society, Indian Folklorists, and the Palestinian Folklorists Union.

Ha publicado varios libros en árabe y en hebreo, y muchas de sus investigaciones y artículos han sido publicados en revistas internacionales, así como en revistas mensuales, periódicos y en "The Greenwood Encyclopedia of folklore and Folklife".
Continúa su labor publicando artículos en conocidos periódicos árabes de Israel.

He published several books in Arabic and in Hebrew, and many of his researches and articles were published in international magazines (and in "The Greenwood Encyclopedia of folklore and Folklife").
He published hundreds of articles in monthly and weekly magazines and newspapers, and continues to publish weekly cultural articles in two well-known Arabic newspapers in Israel.
